Savage Build Spotlight: From Work Van to Baja Beast: 2011 Ford Econoline Lift Kit Build

Updated: Sep 1

Yellow 2011 Ford Econoline Extended with 5″ lift, Black Rhino wheels, 33” Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and blackout front end parked outdoors — Savage Campervans build.

Some vans are born to carry ladders and haul drywall. This one was almost stuck with that fate. When this 2011 Ford Econoline Extended with the 5.4L Triton V8 rolled into Savage, it was lined up to be just another work van. Instead, it left here looking like it could roll right over a work van and not spill its coffee. The stock stance? Gone. We dropped in a full 5″ WeldTec Designs Baja Grocery Getter lift kit, strapped on proper off-road rolling gear, and gave the whole exterior a serious wake-up call.

The 2011 Ford Econoline Lift Kit

The WeldTec lift brought all the right hardware to the table:

  • Custom extended radius arms

  • Weld-on brackets

  • Moog bushings

  • Skyjacker lift coils

  • Modified I-beams

  • 3″ lift blocks

  • Fox Performance Series 2.0 shocks

  • Steering stabilizer

  • Extended brake lines

  • Carrier bearing dropdown bracket

It’s the kind of setup that changes everything — more clearance, more travel, and a ride that eats washboard roads for breakfast. This 2011 Ford Econoline lift kit is unstoppable.

Wheels & Tires

For wheels and tires, we kept it sharp and functional: 16” Black Rhino wheels wrapped in 33” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They grip in the dirt, they grip on the highway, and they look damn good doing it.

Exterior Upgrades

To finish the stance and style, we added:

  • Bushwacker fender flares for clearance + protection

  • Raptor grille and blacked-out headlights

  • Tow mirrors ready for hauling

  • Backup camera + touchscreen double-DIN stereo for modern ease

Purpose Built

We didn’t build this van to erase its work roots. We built it to make them meaner. Now it’s the kind of rig that can load up tools Monday through Friday and hit the coast, mountains, or desert without breaking a sweat.

That’s the Savage way — take what you’ve got, and make it unstoppable.
